Location 50 meters from the lake. Large tatami room with private sink and toilet. (Shower and hot tub are shared, downstairs ). Excellent breakfast. Quiet.
Limited English of staff.
Lovely location with view over the lake and of Mt Fuji. Room was clean and confortable. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Great place and friendly personnel, possibility to rent a bike, japanese breakfast, lake view
Nishimiyasou provides a serene cultural Japanese experience! This is a lovely Japanese hotel very close to Lake Kawaguchiko and with a view of Mount Fuji. It is small with only nine rooms that are extremely clean and very nice. While the booking mentioned shared bath and toilets, our two rooms each had their own toilet complete with bidet and sink. The shared bath is Japanese style in a large tiled bathing room with multiple hand held showers a 7' long tiled oblong hot tub-- large enough to float in!! It was wonderful after the long day hike up Mount Fuji. The view from my room was of beautiful Lake Kawaguchiko and my friend's room view was of Mount Fuji! A meal plan is possible but we only had one breakfast there and it was delicious. The room price was very reasonable for the area. The neighborhood is very quiet at night, lovely hiking trails around the lake and a fantastic temple next door built in 699 ad. The hotel is a short easy hike from town. The owners are wonderful hosts, extremely nice, and provide shuttle service. I will be sure to keep the information and return one day!
I liked everything, but English speaking guests that do not speak Japanese will benefit from a phrase book as the owners do not speak any English.
